Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grants
The Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grants program received $3.2 billion from the Recovery Act. States, local governments, Indian tribes, and U.S. territories can obtain block grants to improve energy efficiency and install renewable energy systems. Request for Information on EECBG Competitive Grants
(PDF 92 KB) DOE issued a request for information that is open from September 14–28, 2009, about the upcoming funding opportunity announcement (FOA) for approximately $454 million of competitive grants under the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant (EECBG) program. DOE is requesting feedback from EECBG stakeholders on topics of interest for the FOA.

Weatherization Assistance
HUD and DOE recently established a partnership to support coordination of the use of $16 billion in funds appropriated by Congress through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA).
