Offshore Renewable Energy - Information Needs for Resource Assessment and Design Conditions Meeting

The purpose of the public meeting is to identify priorities for acquiring needed meteorological and oceanographic information to support cost-effective deployment of offshore renewable energy plants, particularly wind and marine hydrokinetic (MHK) technologies. The meeting is co-sponsored by DOE's Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy, the Department of the Interior's Bureau of Ocean Energy Management Regulation and Enforcement, the Department of Commerce's National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, and the National Science Foundation.
