Rhode Island Weatherization and Low-Income Energy Programs

Rhode Island Weatherization

Rhode Island's Weatherization Assistance Program provides weatherization and energy conservation services at no cost to low-income households. The Weatherization Assistance Program reduces household energy use and costs by improving the energy efficiency of a participant's home.

The Rhode Island State Energy Office administers the statewide Weatherization Assistance Program. For more information, call the state Weatherization Office at 401-277-6920.

Complete List of Rhode Island's Low-Income Energy Programs

The National Energy Accessibility and Affordability Project (NEAAP) publishes a complete list of the programs available to low-income households in the state, including those funded by federal and state governments, Rhode Island utilities, and charities. NEAAP publishes this list as part of the LIHEAP Clearinghouse, which is maintained on the National Center for Appropriate Technology Web site and receives support from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. The list also includes LIHEAP contacts in Rhode Island. Under federal rules, Rhode Island can use up to 25% of its LIHEAP funds for weatherization.
