Pennsylvania Weatherization and Low-Income Energy Programs

Pennsylvania Weatherization

Pennsylvania's Weatherization Assistance Program provides weatherization and energy conservation services at no cost to low-income households. The Weatherization Assistance Program reduces household energy use and costs by improving the energy efficiency of a participant's home.

The Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development (DCED) administers the statewide Weatherization Assistance Program, and local Weatherization Assistance Program Agencies (MS Word 112 KB) deliver weatherization services in the field. Complete List of Pennsylvania's Low-Income Energy Programs

The National Energy Accessibility and Affordability Project (NEAAP) publishes a complete list of the programs available to low-income households in the state, including those funded by federal and state governments, Pennsylvania utilities, and charities. NEAAP publishes this list as part of the LIHEAP Clearinghouse, which is maintained on the National Center for Appropriate Technology Web site and receives support from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. The list also includes LIHEAP contacts in Pennsylvania. Under federal rules, Pennsylvania can use up to 25% of its LIHEAP funds for weatherization.
