Georgia Home Weatherization Assistance Program
The Georgia Environmental Facilities Authority (GEFA) administers the Weatherization Program in the state. Crews replace broken windows, caulk and weather-strip door and window frames, install storm windows, insulate attics, and perform other energy saving repairs on the homes of elderly, disabled, and low-income Georgians. The result is a more comfortable home and lower energy bills.

Energy and Low-Income Heating Assistance (LIHEAP) in Georgia

Complete List of Georgia's Low-Income Energy Programs

The National Energy Accessibility and Affordability Project (NEAAP) publishes a complete list of the programs available to low-income households in the state, including those funded by federal and state governments, Georgia utilities, and charities. NEAAP publishes this list as part of the LIHEAP Clearinghouse, which is maintained on the National Center for Appropriate Technology Web site and receives support from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. The list also includes LIHEAP contacts in Georgia. Under federal rules, Georgia can use up to 25% of its LIHEAP funds for weatherization.
