Arizona Weatherization
The Arizona Department of Commerce Energy Office manages the Weatherization Assistance Program. The Energy Office oversee weatherization services such as adding attic insulation and window shades, reducing air infiltration, testing, tuning and maintaining heating and cooling equipment, reducing duct leakage in forced air systems, installing low-flow showerheads and other general energy and water efficiency measures, and implementing other energy conservation improvements identified by the home energy auditor.

Complete List of Arizona's Low-Income Energy Programs
The National Energy Accessibility and Affordability Project (NEAAP) publishes a complete list of the programs available to low-income households in the state, including those funded by federal and state governments, Arizona utilities, and charities. NEAAP publishes this list as part of the LIHEAP Clearinghouse, which is maintained on the National Center for Appropriate Technology Web site and receives support from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. The list also includes LIHEAP contacts in Arizona. Under federal rules, Arizona can use up to 25% of its LIHEAP funds for weatherization.
State Energy Assistance Programs
Utility assistance programs
These programs are funded by the federal and state governments and from utility companies. They are coordinated to help low-income households meet their energy needs. The Community Services Administration (CSA) subcontracts with community agencies to administer the Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) and the Utility Repair, Replacement and Deposit Program (URRD). Through these programs, services provided are utility deposits and payments. Weatherization of homes is conducted and certain appliances can be repaired or replaced. There are also wide arrays of utility discount programs, which are coordinated with these services.
