Texas’ Largest Solar Farm Completes Phase I

The first phase of a 400 megawatt (MW) Texas solar project began operating on December 18 in San Antonio, Texas. The 41-MW Alamo I solar farm is phase one of a 400-MW development. Alamo I will generate energy for 6,600 homes powered by CPS Energy and reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 57,000 tons annually. More than 167,000 solar panels cover the 450-acre solar farm.
