Vermont Launches Yearlong Home Energy Challenge
February 27, 2013
Vermont in January launched a one-year Home Energy Challenge to increase the number of homes in the state completing comprehensive energy-efficiency improvements. During the challenge, town energy committees will compete with other communities in their region to weatherize 3% of the homes within their community. Prizes will be awarded for the top municipalities in each region, as well as a statewide award for the top region and town. The challenge is designed to help Vermont reach its statewide goal of 25% energy savings in 80,000 homes by the year 2020. See the Home Energy Challenge webpage.
