Florida's Largest Planned Solar Farm Project Moves Ahead

A company seeking to build Florida's largest solar farm received a county zoning change in December it sought to move forward  in Lake County, Florida. BlueChip Energy was recently granted approval of new zoning for a solar farm 30 miles northwest of Orlando. Once the farm is completed, 174,000 photovoltaic panels will produce 100 megawatts of electricity, enough to power 22,000 homes. See the Orlando Sentinel story.
