Louisiana Looks to Statewide Energy-Efficiency Program

December 18, 2012

The Louisiana Public Service Commission (PSC) recently approved a statewide energy-efficiency program for homeowners and businesses. The initiative will give electric utilities and natural gas providers 12 months to develop programs that will offer residential and business customers incentives for making improvements that lower their electricity use. Utilities will file annual reports with the PSC that provide estimates on energy savings generated from the programs. See the Times-Picayune news story.
