Indiana Utility Proposes New Green Power Program

NIPSCO has filed an application with the Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission to offer a pilot program that would allow the utility's customers to voluntarily purchase renewable energy (wind, solar, geothermal, biomass, and hydroelectric). Customers could designate that 25%, 50% or 100% of their electrical consumption as attributable to power generated by renewable resources, for which they would pay a premium of approximately 1/5 of a cent per kilowatt-hour.News Release -NIPSCO: Green Power Rate - Coming Soon!
