Biomass Cogeneration Facility Opens at Energy Department Site
The Energy Department and Ameresco, Inc. have marked the successful operational startup of a new $795 million biomass-fueled cogeneration facility at DOE's Savannah River Site in Aiken, South Carolina. DOE Awards $45 Million for a Wind Turbine Test Facility in South Carolina
DOE has selected Clemson University as the recipient of $45 million in Recovery Act funds to launch a test facility for utility-scale wind turbines. The South Carolina facility will be able to test the drivetrains of wind turbines as large as 15 megawatts in capacity. More
