D.C. Commission Orders Utility to Offer Better Terms for Net Metering Customers
The District of Columbia Public Service Commission accepted part and rejected part of Pepco's proposed standard contract for net metering. The utility will now offer new terms that are more favorable for customers with solar systems and small renewable energy generating systems. More

District of Columbia Adopts a Renewable Energy Requirement
Electricity suppliers in Washington, D.C., will draw on renewable energy for 11 percent of the electricity supply by 2022, thanks to a law that became official on April 12th. The Renewable Energy Portfolio Standard Act of 2004 also sets a minimum requirement for electricity from solar power. More
