DOE Awards SEP Grants to 36 States
The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) released the State Energy Program (SEP) grants for 36 states on July 5. The grants for Fiscal Year (FY) 2005 go to state energy offices to support their energy priorities. To find what your state did with its SEP grant in FY 2004, select "Formula Grants" under SEP's online list of "projects by state."
Energy Secretary Bodman said, "These grants will help states improve energy efficiency in ways that meet their individual needs." Altogether, Congress allotted $44 million for SEP Formula Grants to 50 states, the District of Columbia, and five U.S. territories overseas in FY 2005. See DOE's July 5 press release.
