Clean Cities Names Texas-SECO State Partner of the Year

May 03, 2005

DOE's Clean Cities recognized the Texas State Energy Conservation Office (SECO) as "State Partner of the Year" on May 3 at the annual Clean Cities Conference in Palm Springs, California. Clean Cities recognized SECO with this national partner award for providing essential support to Clean Cities coalitions across Texas.

For example, SECO helped several coalitions start up operations and attain official designation from DOE, acquire funding from State Energy Program (SEP) Special Projects, and helped build staff skills and capacity for organizing through grant writing workshops. SECO also holds meetings of all Clean Cities coalitions in Texas. Clean Cities publishes online a list of all of the 2005 partner awards.
