E85 Fueling Facility Opens in Helena, Montana

January 18, 2005

A new E85 fueling facility opened at the Junction Ethanol Card Shop in Helena on January 18. During the Grand Opening from 7:30 a.m. until 4 p.m., E85 sold for $0.85/gallon.

Governor Brian Schweitzer helped celebrate the opening by addressing the crowd about his vision for ethanol. "One of my goals as governor will be the passage of an ethanol bill," he said. "Grain production has been the staple of Montana's agricultural economy for more than a century, yet our grain producers give away one-third of each year's production in transportation costs because we don't create a value-added product here in Montana."
