Kansas Governor Proclaims Biofuel Awareness Day

October 01, 2004

Kansas Governor Kathleen Sebelius signed a proclamation that designates September 15 as Biofuel Awareness Day. The purpose of the designation is to raise awareness among state employees about the benefits of biofuels, which are derived from biomass instead of petroleum, and to purchase biofuels when they travel on state business. For more information, see the text of the proclamation in the governor's September 15 press release.
