Pacific Northwest Green Power Purchases Increase 88% in 2003

The Renewable Northwest Project (RNP), a regional advocacy group in Portland, Oregon, published a report on August 19 that shows the amount of green power purchased in the Pacific Northwest increased 88% over last year. The report it titled "Powerful Choices IV: A Survey of Green Power Programs in the Pacific Northwest" (PDF 644 KB).

It documents how consumers in Idaho, Montana, Oregon, Washington, and Wyoming purchased the equivalent output of a 106-MW wind power plant during the last year. For more information, see the RNP August 19 press release.
