Ohio Lawmakers Extend Renewable Energy Fund
The Ohio legislature recently voted to pass House Bill 301, extending the Advanced Energy Fund for three years. The fund uses a variety of incentives to support renewable energy developments in the state. The law originally authorizing the fund was set to expire under sunset provisions on December 31. Revenues come from a surcharge on utility bills. Under the new law, the fund will expire on January 1, 2014, or when it reaches $150 million. See the Web version of House Bill 301.
