SEP Special Project, New York, 2005
This project introduced organizations and building owners to NYSERDA funding opportunities and technical assistance, DOE programs, and other resources that enable them to implement energy efficiency improvements. This project helped the New York Energy $mart Communities host free one-day regional energy tech seminars for county and municipal leaders, business owners, farmers, school and facility/energy managers, architects, engineers, builders, contractors, developers and other interested in energy efficient technologies. Technology experts provided information and discussions on high performance design, energy-efficient lighting and controls, mechanical systems, geothermal, small wind systems, agricultural applications, photovoltaics, combined heat and power, and technical and financial support options through NYSERDA. This project will also sponsor the 2006 National Multifamily Building Conference in New York City where multifamily building stakeholders and professionals will attend workshops, panel discussions, and social networking opportunities that will enable the exploration and debate about industry challenges and solutions on several topics related to multifamily buildings.
