SEP Special Project, California, 2005
This grant offsets the incremental cost of 30 new natural gas refuse trucks for Rainbow Disposal in Orange County. It serves Huntington Beach, Fountain Valley, Westminster, and Sunset Beach. Each CNG refuse truck uses approximately 10,000 gallons of natural gas per year. Average engine operation hours are 2,600 per year per truck.
