SEP Special Project, Arizona, 2003
The Arizona Energy Office seeks to establish the Arizona Industries of the Future (IOF) to promote energy conservation, enhance waste management, increase productivity, and promote renewables to bolster the economic competitiveness of Arizona industries. This project will:
- Fully embrace the Arizona IOF through a Memorandum of Understanding and a kick-off conference, and develop Arizona roadmaps for each industry sector.
- Facilitate technical support to industries by promoting and enhancing university research partnerships with industries, training sessions in Best Practices, renewable energy presentations, and an energy fair.
- Enhance funding to innovate, invent, and develop technologies in industry by facilitating a university consortium, and help industries obtain funding to adopt emerging technologies and energy retrofits.
- Promote Office of Industrial Technology products through an Arizona IOF Web site, Web links, industrial associations, on-site presentations, and (by advertisements and grants) Arizona industry attendance at national IOF showcases.
