DOE Live Video Presentation: Clean Cities Program Highlights Transportation Projects
November 09, 2011
The U.S. Department of Energy’s (DOE) Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy and DOE’s Brookhaven National Laboratory have partnered with the Virtual Energy Forum to highlight DOE’s Clean Cities Program activities and nationwide achievements. This week’s event will feature a live video presentation on Thursday, November 10th from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. EST, providing a global audience the opportunity to interact with leading transportation experts.
The program will begin with Wendy Dafoe, Clean Cities Task Leader at DOE’s National Renewable Energy Laboratory, who will give a presentation titled Clean Cities: Driving Transportation Projects through Private/Public Partnerships. Wendy will provide an overview of the national Clean Cities Program, discuss informative vehicle technology-related Web tools and resources of interest to fleet managers and the public, and highlight specific transportation projects underway. Presentation attendees will learn about the technologies being deployed and how the public-private partnerships are being implemented.
Complimentary registration is available at the Virtual Energy Forum website.
Virtual Energy Forum is a leading producer of online events for private and public sector energy executives. More than 10,000 attendees have participated in Virtual Energy Forum events. Because events happen entirely online rather than in a traditional conference location, attendees have collectively avoided more than 100 million pounds of travel-related carbon dioxide emissions.
DOE’s Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy invests in clean energy technologies that strengthen the economy, protect the environment, and reduce dependence on foreign oil. Visit EERE's Clean Cities website for more information about the initiative's deployment work that is reducing petroleum consumption in the transportation sector.
