DOE Webinar May 17: Local Leaders Create Fuel Cell Success Stories - Spotlight on Leading Local Companies

The U.S. Department of Energy's Fuel Cell Technologies Program will co-host a webinar with the Clean Energy States Alliance and the Technology Transition Corporation titled "Local Leaders Create Fuel Cell Success Stories: Spotlight on Leading Local Companies." The webcast will be held on Tuesday, May 17, from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. Eastern.

With support from local leaders, businesses across the United States are using hydrogen and fuel cells to improve their operations. Participants will learn how companies such as Coke, FedEx, Bridgestone, and Sierra Nevada are using these technologies, and how state and regional government officials, permitting officials, and other local leaders helped promote and implement these projects.

The webinar will also explore successful legislation that increased the number of hydrogen and fuel cell projects in various jurisdictions. Participants in the webinar can get the tools they need to bolster local economies and build upon these success stories.

Speakers include:

  • Ronda Mosley: Senior Director for Research and Government Services, Public Technology Institute, will moderate the webinar
  • Jennifer Gangi: Program Director, Fuel Cells 2000, will provide an overview and examples of projects

This series of webinars is designed to increase knowledge of hydrogen and fuel cell technologies and their applications, identify best practices in state hydrogen and fuel cell programs and policies, and provide information and technical assistance to state policy leaders, state renewable energy programs, fuel cell organizations, and others involved in the development of effective hydrogen and fuel cell programs and policies.
