10am – 2pm
L'Enfant Plaza – Outside DOE Forrestal Building
Washington, DC
On Tuesday, November 14, 2006, the Department of Energy (DOE) and the Truck Manufacturers Association (TMA) will host a demonstration of the latest aerodynamic designs for heavy-duty trucks. The event represents the culmination of a two-year study funded by DOE to expedite the introduction of aerodynamic design innovations. These design improvements will help reduce fuel use and potentially save hundreds of millions of gallons of fuel annually.
Policymakers from Capitol Hill, DOE staff and representatives from major truck manufacturers will be on hand to discuss technology improvements, design innovations and the public-private partnerships that made the study possible.
