To achieve a secure energy future, it"s going to take a strong and united effort. We all need to take simple actions every day - like purchasing an ENERGY STAR® qualified light bulb for your home or office. As we approach Energy Awareness Month this October, the U.S. Department of Energy"s Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy will highlight actions by individuals and businesses who are working to achieve energy independence. As a part of this effort, DOE will create a special poster featuring a compact fluorescent light bulb (CFL) made from a mosaic of hundreds of digital photos submitted by ENERGY STAR partners, stakeholders, and others who want to share their favorite energy saving images.To be part of the big picture, simply submit an image of your family, co-workers, or friends at www.energystarlightbulb.net. You can send individual and group portrait photos of energy champions, candid shots of people caught in the act of saving energy, or photos of professionals who are working to save energy. Be sure to submit your photos by July 15, 2006!
