May 15: Live Webinar on Integrating Solar Power into the Grid

The Energy Department will present a live webinar titled "Overview of the DOE/CPUC High Penetration Solar Forum" on Wednesday, May 15, from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time. Hosted by the Energy Department's SunShot Initiative, the webinar will provide information on the results of the second such forum hosted by the Energy Department and the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) in February in San Diego, California. Topics covered will include an overview of the Energy Department's and CPUC's ongoing grid integration awards as well as future efforts.

The Energy Department and its Clean Cities program collaborators presented a webcast titled "Role of Alternative Fuel Vehicles in Emergency Preparedness" on Thursday, April 4. This webinar covered the important role that alternative fuel vehicles played in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy. The webinar was intended for coordinators and stakeholders interested in energy assurance plans at the state and local level and how transportation technologies can play a part in these plans and in future emergencies.
