Steven G. Chalk, Deputy Assistant Secretary, Honored with Service to America Medal

WASHINGTON DC - Steven G. Chalk, Deputy Assistant Secretary for Renewable Energy in the U.S. Department of Energy's Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy, was honored September 16 with a Service to America Medal. The ceremony, held at the Andrew W. Mellon Auditorium in Washington, DC, recognized eight winners in individual categories; Chalk won in the Science and Environment category. The statement read: "Through a variety of innovative projects, Chalk has led the way on many of the federal government's efforts to expand the use of renewable energy."
The Partnership for Public Service, a non-profit, non-partisan organization, presents the medals annually. Winners are chosen from a field of nominees from all sectors of government and all geographic regions of the United States.
