DOE Launches "EERE Progress Alerts," a New E-Bulletin
The DOE Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy (EERE) has launched a new free e-bulletin, the "EERE Progress Alerts," to announce new and significant developments in EERE's programs and research. EERE Progress Alerts will be sent via email and posted online as new developments occur. A recent bulletin, for instance, discusses DOE's use of renewable energy for 3 percent of its electricity needs, meeting DOE's goal, which was higher than the 2.5 percent requirement set by executive order in 1999. Another bulletin discusses a framework for offshore wind energy development that was recently developed with EERE's assistance. See the DOE press release and the EERE Progress Alerts Web page.
To accommodate current subscribers to the EERE Network News, EERE has also launched a new "Change My Subscription" page, which allows current subscribers to easily add a subscription to the EERE Progress Alerts, update their email address, or unsubscribe. See the new "Change My Subscription" Web page.
