World Renewable Energy Congress and Expo Web Site Updated
The Web site for the eighth World Renewable Energy Congress and Expo has been updated with a detailed preliminary program and an expanded list of plenary speakers. The Congress will take place in Denver, Colorado, from August 29th through September 3rd, and the preliminary program demonstrates the technical range of the conference, running the gamut from solar cooking to proposed technologies for an integrated biorefinery. Workshops and special sessions will tackle such topics as renewable energy policy, education, financing, and gender issues. In addition, a growing list of plenary speakers composes a diverse group of international energy experts, including U.S. representatives such as David Garman, DOE's acting Under Secretary of Energy, as well as visitors from around the globe, such as Dr. Pir Mohammad Azizi, the Deputy Minister of Water Resources and Environment at the Afghanistan Ministry of Irrigation.
