What's Your Excuse?: April Video (Text Version)
Below is the text version of the What's Your Excuse?: April video, a public service announcement from the "What's Your Excuse?" campaign.
A young boy is interviewing a girl in her home. The boy is holding a clipboard. While they talk, the video focuses on a cell phone charger that is plugged into the wall with no phone attached.
(Interviewer)
So, April…
(April)
Yeah?
The video focuses on the interviewer.
(Interviewer)
You know your charger's still using energy when it's plugged into the wall, right?
The camera switches to April.
(April)
Yeah, but, uhh…That's not my charger. I don't even have a cell phone.
Somewhere, a cell phone begins to ring. April looks nervous, and begins to giggle nervously. A boy holding a microphone and the interviewer peer at her suspiciously. The cell phone continues to ring, while the three stand in silence. Finally, April reaches into her pocket and throws her phone away quickly. Then she smiles innocently.
The "What's your Excuse?" logo appears, as a voiceover asks, "Millions of kids are using energy wisely. What's your excuse?"
