Vehicle Technologies Program Manager Hosts a Live Video Presentation This Week

March 10, 2011

The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) and the Brookhaven National Laboratory are partnering with the Virtual Energy Forum, the leading producer of online events for private and public sector energy executives, to host a monthly series of live video presentations. These online events will highlight specific DOE programs and provide a global audience with opportunities to interact with leading DOE experts.

The first event in this series, scheduled for March 16th, features a keynote presentation from DOE's Vehicle Technologies Program Manager, Patrick Davis, and focuses on the goal of deploying 1 million electric vehicles by 2015. Attendees will hear important program updates and learn about the challenges involved in ensuring an effective grid integration and seamless user experience. Future broadcasts will focus on energy efficiency, green cities, renewable energy, smart grid, and transportation.

More than 10,000 attendees have participated in Virtual Energy Forum events. Because events happen entirely online rather than in a traditional conference location, Virtual Energy Forum attendees have collectively avoided more than 100 million pounds of travel related CO2 emissions.

Complimentary registration is available on the Virtual Energy Forum website.
