Ethanol Fuels the 'Greatest Spectacle in Racing'

Assistant Secretary for Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy Alexander Karsner met with biofuel advocates Bobby Rahal (Indy 500 Champion 1986) and Late Show host David Letterman to support "Team Ethanol" at the "World's Greatest Spectacle in Racing," The Indianapolis 500. Consistent with the President's call to address our addiction to oil, the 91st running of the race was the first fueled by 100% ethanol.
