May 01, 2007
Speaking to the National Association of Farm Broadcasters today in Washington, D.C., Energy Secretary Samuel Bodman announced the availability of up to $200 million in DOE funding for small-scale cellulosic biorefineries. The Funding Opportunity Announcement (available on grants.gov) requests applications for small-scale biorefineries at 10% of commercial scale. These biorefineries will allow testing of new refining processes and technologies to inform long-term development of full-scale projects.
