DOE Leads Discussion on Data Center Energy Efficiency

Assistant Secretary for Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy Andy Karsner met with information technology executives this week in Silicon Valley. Data centers are at the core of the information technology business. As the number of data centers grows, it is becoming increasingly important that these centers use energy wisely. Assistant Secretary Karsner led a roundtable discussion of Chief Technology Officers focused on identifying areas for cooperation to increase energy efficiency in data centers.
