Assistant Secretary Andy Karsner Tours National Renewable Energy Laboratory

Assistant Secretary Andy Karsner and Terry Tyborowski, staff assistant of the Energy and Water Development Subcommittee, Committee on Appropriations visited NREL on Nov. 2. Karsner and Tyborowski met with Director Dan Arvizu for an overview of the Laboratory, toured the Field Test Laboratory Building, Alternative Fuel Users Facility, Solar Energy Research Facility, and Science and Technology Facility and met with staff from the Golden Field Office. During the day, Associate Directors Dale Gardner, Stan Bull, and Bobi Garrett, along with research staff, spoke about renewable fuels, renewable electricity and deployment, analysis and technology transfer.
