The Bush Administration has been the driving force behind federal policy efforts to spur the development of alternative energy technology. President Bush sees alternative energy technology as an opportunity, and is committed to cultivating and mainstreaming that technology. Never before have renewable fuels been at the front and center of the nation's domestic energy policy as they are at this very moment. Today, Assistant Secretary Alexander Karsner is offering keynote remarks to the Ethanol Finance & Investment conference in Chicago, Illinois. Ethanol is an integral part of the Bush Administration's agenda for energy independence.
