The United States and Sweden have signed a Science and Technology Agreement allowing government agencies of both countries, like the Department of Energy, to collaborate on research. In Stockholm, Sweden, for the signing of the agreement, Assistant Secretary Alexander Karsner highlighted the significance of the work to be done. "The impact of energy decisions taken today will endure for the next century at least, and affect generations to come. We owe it to our people, to our children, and to all peoples, to see that our positive aspirations and cooperation…lead to a successful and durable vision." Read Karsner's statement.
