Deputy Assistant Secretary Honored with Service to America Medal

Sept. 16, 2008 - Steven G. Chalk, Deputy Assistant Secretary for Renewable Energy in DOE's Office of EERE, was honored with a Service to America Medal.
The ceremony, held at the Andrew W. Mellon Auditorium in Washington, DC, recognized eight winners in individual categories; Chalk won in the Science and Environment category. The statement read: "Through a variety of innovative projects, Chalk has led the way on many of the federal government's efforts to expand the use of renewable energy."
