President Bush's "Advanced Energy Initiative" provides for a 22% increase in funding for clean-energy technology research at the Department of Energy. Revolutionary solar and wind technologies will help change how Americans power their homes and offices. By funding additional research for cellulosic ethanol production, batteries for hybrid and electric cars, and pollution-free hydrogen vehicles, America will change the way our automobiles are powered.
