Launched January 2011 — The "Lighting Choices to Save You Money" campaign educates consumers on efficient lighting choices and choosing lightbulbs based on brightness, or lumens. The campaign website includes Energy 101 "Lighting Choices" and "Lumens" videos, B-roll footage, radio public service announcements, FAQs, placards, tip cards, high-resolution images, and a PowerPoint presentation. These materials help consumers learn more about the energy and money savings of energy-saving lightbulbs and show them how to use the new Lighting Facts Label to shop for lightbulbs.
Launched July 2011 — The "Saving Energy Saves You Money" campaign shows homeowners how being energy efficient at home can lead to long-term savings and encourages positive, energy-efficient habits to reduce overall energy consumption. The campaign website includes a suite of the campaign's public service announcements, and the Energy Saver website and Facebook complement the campaign by providing written articles, graphics, and videos full of energy-saving tips.
