Bill Hunter is the owner of AirClean Technologies, Inc., a Washington State Engineering corporation dedicated to industrial system optimization and equipment supply. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy, is a LCDR in the US Naval Reserve (inactive), and is a licensed 3rd Assistant Engineer by the U.S. Coast Guard. He is also a registered professional engineer in the State of Washington.

AirClean Technologies has been involved in the design of many unique systems, ranging from combined heat and power systems to control console design and supply. Currently, the company is largely dedicated to performing energy studies at industrial facilities to reduce electrical energy consumption. Company personnel are certified as Qualified Specialists in both pump and fan systems by the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE). The tools are used by the company in energy audits at industrial facilities in programs sponsored by the Bonneville Power Administration as well as DOE.

Bill was one of the Beta testers for the DOE's Fan System Assessment Tool (FSAT). Once the tool became commercially available, Bill was certified as a Qualified Specialist, and later as an instructor for the end-user workshop. He is also a DOE Energy Expert. Bill travels throughout the U.S. as an instructor for the FSAT software program.
