DESCRIPTION: Learn a step-by-step approach to placing a utility energy service contract (UESC) task order under a U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) Areawide Contract. Focus on developing skills related to the acquisition plan; preliminary audit and findings; feasibility study and project proposal; contract for construction; construction and installation; performance assurance and acceptance; post-construction and commissioning; and sample documents and templates. Successful project examples will also be shared.    First Thursday Seminars are FEMP training opportunities targeting Federal energy, environmental, and fleet professionals offered at no cost by leading experts. The training sessions are delivered live via satellite or through streaming media at your desktop.     FEMP offers interactive, online First Thursday training courses to help Federal agencies develop core competencies and comply with energy-efficiency and renewable-energy water-management and sustainability requirements. FEMP is partnering with the National Institute of Building Sciences' Whole Building Design Guide (WBDG) to host these comprehensive, FEMP-developed First Thursday training courses.
