ESPC Comprehensive Workshop
Live Training
Open only to Federal employees and DOE M&O contractors, the FEMP ESPC Comprehensive Workshop outlines the latest U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) energy savings performance contract (ESPC) indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract and process. The session is taught by DOE national laboratory experts and other consultants with extensive background in ESPCs.
The three-day workshop educates attendees on how to implement energy and water projects through an ESPC.
Day one consists of a basic introduction to the new IDIQ contracts and how to get started with an ESPC project at your site.
Day two consists of advanced pricing and financing aspects of the project.
Day three is dedicated to two breakout sessions:
The first session addresses technical aspects with an emphasis on how to plan your project to meet site energy and water goals, including the difference between the measurement and verification options and how to approach and review ESCO technical proposals.
The second session is dedicated to contracting and negotiation methods including how to approach and select the right ESCO, preparing the contract folder contents, and preparing for negotiations and award of the task order.
The ESPC Comprehensive Workshop is intended to meet the needs of those who have little knowledge of ESPCs but are considering this approach, as well as those who want to gain an in-depth understanding of the ESPC process. Please note that these workshops are for Federal employees and DOE M&O contractos only.
Detailed information on ESPCs is available on the FEMP Web site. The Introduction to ESPC webinar is a prerequisite for attending this course.
