| Brief Program Description | Residential customers participating in OUC's Solar Thermal Program receive a monthly credit of $0.03/kWh for the energy produced by the Thermal System. In return, OUC retains the environmental attributes or REC's. The solar contractor is required to install a BTU meter so we can capture the monthly kWh's produced. OUC provides the customer a one-time credit of $250 on their bill to cover the cost of the BTU meter installation. Customers with an average sized 40 sq ft system receive a monthly credit of $5 - $10 on their OUC bill. OUC also offers zero to low interest solar thermal loans in partnership with the Orlando Federal Credit Union. |
