DIALux
A light planning program for calculation and visualization of indoor and outdoor lighting systems. DIALux can import from and export to all CAD programs (DXF, DWG, SAT,...) and has photorealistic visualization with an integrated ray tracer. More than 66 free electronic catalogues and photometric files (IES, EULUMDAT, CIBSE...) can be read in. It is available in 25 languages. DIALux is undergoing continuous refinement. The latest standards are always taken into consideration as well as planning regulations and customs of the specific country. DIALux can calculate daylight, interior and exterior lighting, road lighting and emergency lighting. Validation/Testing
DIALux is calculating according to all international standards, like EN12464 ISO 8995, EN1838, EN13201 and many more. The results are validated and tested against international standards (CIE 171:2006) and in the accredited lighting laboratory of DIAL.
Expertise Required
The Software is very easy to learn. There is a DIALux light included which asks for all necessary parameters. There are also some wizards and "The Guide" which leads the user through the lighting design process.

There are some hundred thousands of users worldwide. DIALux is translated into 25 languages including English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Chinese, Japanese, Russian and many more.

Input
A room or an exterior scene can either be created in DIALux itself or it can be imported as a DWG or DXF file. Several CAD applications got the specific DIALux data interface STF. Luminaires can be imported from electronic catalogues of more than 66 manufacturer or can be imported as photometric files like IES, EULUMDAT, CIBSE TM14, or LTLI.
Output
The lighting design and calculation results can be saved as pictures (JPG, BMP) as movies (AVI�) as electronic printouts (DXF, DWG, PDF) and of course they can be printed on paper.
