The software calculates the total annual use of heating, cooling and electricity. BV2 can be used on a simple level as well as on a more detailed level that makes the software adapted for diverse conditions.

The calculation model in BV2 is built on results from a doctoral thesis at Chalmers University of Technology. BV2 is compared to internationally accepted calculation software, DOE-2, with excellent accordance.
