WaterAide logo.

Comprehensive residential, commercial and industrial water audit software package. WaterAide can evaluate a broad range of water saving opportunities. Savings can include domestic hot water energy savings, in addition to water bill savings, if desired. For a residential customer, these include:

  • Low-flow showerheads and aerators
  • Repairing leaks
  • Irrigation water savings, including xeriscaping, soil moisture sensors and other tactics
  • New fixtures and appliances such as low-flush toilets and front-loading clothes washers
  • Car washing, pool, and other water saving recommendations
  • Low-cost and no-cost water-saving practices and behavioral changes
  • The commercial and industrial version of WaterAide includes all of the capabilities of the residential version, and features specific to common commercial systems, including analysis of water-saving opportunities for:

  • Institutional kitchens
  • Commercial laundries
  • Car washes
  • Cooling towers and water cooled AC systems
  • Recommendations for some other water conservation practices for the film processing, textile and medical industries
  • WaterAide is designed to serve all types of water users. It produces a written report that explains water (and sewerage) savings opportunities in plain language, for the non-professional to easily understand, with graphics. The report and the software can be customized to meet the needs of conservation programs, utility sponsors and users. Each water audit modeled is automatically saved in a file for later retrieval, review, and modification. An extract of information relevant to each measure recommended is also automatically saved in comma-delimited format, for transfer to a database. Screen Shots

Interactive inputs are made in a user-friendly Windows GUI. This includes water use and cost data, information related to systems and equipment, domestic hot water system data, and customer information including operation schedules and demographics.

System files supply default information on cost and savings assumptions, climatic data, canned comments and customized text for the report. Input files also include graphic icons as needed, and audit numbering and tracking protocol. User-overrides can be performed on all water savings and costs for recommendations, and water uses for each piece of equipment.

Water savings and costs for each recommendation, and water uses for each piece of equipment, can be interactively viewed and modified on-screen. This can be done in the presence of the customer, during the site visit at the customer's facility. The report can also be interactively viewed on-screen during the operation of the software. Each water savings recommendation has a text description that appears in some reports generated, which may also be edited by the user.
