Building Energy Modelling and Simulation: Self-Learning Modules
Provides a novel way to learn about building energy modelling and simulation. The self-learning courseware is available on the Web, and comprises:
- Introduction: why you should use building energy and environmental simulation. (Just to get an idea: have a look at the practical case studies.)
- Practice: how to use a real building energy modelling and simulation environment. (ESP-r in this case, but note that there exist many more building energy tools.)
- Theory: finding out how building energy modelling and simulation actually works.
The courseware can be used in a variety of ways, including: in self-learning mode, for distance learning, as online course material, for dissemination purposes, as supporting lecture material, as reference material in project work, to encourage student study and research, etc.
