Calculates thermal performance of fenestration products; heat transfer analysis method consistent with the rating procedure developed by the National Fenestration Rating Council (NFRC). Screen Shots
fenestration, thermal performance, solar optical characteristics, windows, glazing
Some knowledge about windows.
2000+ in the U.S. and abroad.
Manufacturers, engineers, architects, researchers, sales personnel.
Interactive program: user-provided data files for frames (from the THERM program) and glazing layers (from the Optics program) optional.
Reports for the total window can be saved to disk or printed; files can be generated to be used as input to the DOE-2 and EnergyPlus programs; libraries of window components can be printed separately. A detailed printout of the glazing system is also available.
Requires Microsoft Windows 98, Windows NT, Windows 2000, Windows ME, or Windows XP. Pentium class or better. At least 64 MB of random access memory (RAM). For optimal operation, 128MB or more of RAM is preferable. Hard disk drive with at least 60 MB of available disk space.
C and FORTRAN
Easy to learn; consistent with ASHRAE and NFRC procedures; interfaces with the DOE-2 and EnergyPlus simulation programs.
Not compatible with Apple.
